Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Mohammad Pourshahabadi for the use of How's My Balance. By using the app you accept them. Effective [DD Month 2026].
What the app does
The app helps you record and understand your own spending and income. It is a notebook with maths, nothing more.
It is not financial, tax or investment advice, and we are not a bank or a payment service. Decisions you make with it are your own.
Your data is yours
What you enter belongs to you. It is held in your own account and copied onto the devices you use, so that losing a phone does not lose your records. You are responsible for keeping your password safe, and we recommend saving your own backup from time to time.
If you forget your password you can reset it by email from the login screen. Backup files are different: those are locked with a passphrase you choose, which we never see and cannot reset — if you lose that passphrase, that file cannot be opened by anyone.
Free trial and subscription
New users get 3 months free, with no payment details required to start.
After the free period the subscription costs USD 1.99 per month, charged through Google Play or the App Store in your local currency and taxes where they apply.
You will be told before the free period ends. A subscription renews each month until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time in the Google Play or App Store subscription settings — cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access until the paid period ends.
If you do not subscribe, the app keeps working with the features you already have: you never lose access to the data you entered.
Prices may change in the future. We will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, and a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Fair use
Do not copy, resell or take the app apart to make a competing product, and do not use it to break the law.
Logos shown next to categories are the trademarks of the companies they belong to. They only help you recognise a category; they do not mean those companies are involved with, or endorse, this app.
Our responsibility
We work to make the app correct and reliable, but it is provided as it is. We cannot promise it is free of faults or that it always matches your bank to the cent.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for financial decisions you take, or for data lost from your own device. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by contract.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app or uninstalling it.
We can end the agreement if you seriously break these terms.
Law and contact
These terms follow the law of Finland. If you live elsewhere in the EU or UK, you keep the consumer protections of your own country. As a consumer in Finland you can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after contacting the Consumer Advisory Service.
